Constipation is no longer a problem Pregnant women…


Constipation is a common problem during pregnancy. About 50% of pregnant women experience constipation at any time of pregnancy.


The cause of constipation in pregnant women is due to an increase in progesterone, which makes the muscles smooth, including the digestive system. This causes food to pass through the intestine slowly.


Here’s how to deal with constipation:

• Eat a diet rich in fiber: Eating a diet rich in fiber can make it easier for you to lose weight. Fiber-rich foods include bran, cabbage, avocados, celery, fresh fruits, green vegetables, fermented vegetables, beans, whole grains, wheat, nuts, seeds, potatoes, seaweed, onions, and more.

• Drink plenty of water. Dehydration can cause constipation. When your body is dehydrated, the mechanism of hydration works by absorbing more water from the waste in your colon and the stools become more rigid. Therefore, you should drink eight glasses of water a day, which is considered to be a healthy amount.
